Soup Swap
Jan. 17, 2013 @ 6 p.m.

Join us in the chill of winter for our second Soup Swap back by popular demand. Meet fellow Slow Food supporters who enjoy preparing and eating hearty soup as much as you do. We will gather in a private home to discuss and swap soup that will warm our hearts and stomachs through the winter. Bring three separate quarts of your favorite soup and take home three quarts of various soups chosen from among those brought by others.

We welcome all kinds of soup, but request soups be made with Slow Food ingredients (good, clean, fair) products. Soups may include meat, or be vegetarian or vegan. All soups must be clearly marked as to ingredients and type of soup. Our last Soup Swap included a variety of delicious specialty soups, including a Russian Wedding Soup, a lovely Chicken and Rice Soup to cure winter colds, and Abondigas Soup made from pasture-raised beef.

The event is $5/person plus transaction fee, which includes light appetizers and wine. In addition you will furnish three separate quarts of soup (see complete Soup Swap guidelines here

We are limited to 25 attendees so only committed soup swappers should sign up.

The location of this event is printed on the tickets that are emailed to you when you sign up.

Slow Food Sacramento

Slow Food Sacramento is the Sacramento region's convivium, or chapter, of Slow Food USA. We are an active chapter that hosts a wide range of educational and convivial events throughout the year to introduce you to the producers and creators of some of the region's outstanding foods, farms, and restaurants. You'll meet the leaders who champion locally and sustainably produced vegetables, fruits, wines, meats, and cheeses. You'll become part of a network to improve access to good, clean, and fair food for all in the Sacramento region.
